Mission Statement
Arise and Dream Foundation Inc exists to provide financial assistance and life-changing opportunities to children who face barriers to participation in athletics, fitness, and character-building programs. Through scholarships, resources, and community partnerships, we help young people develop strength for today and dreams for tomorrow.

The Problem We Are Solving
According to research by Project Play (part of The Aspen Institute), youth ages 6–18 from low-income homes quit organized sports because of financial costs at six times the rate of kids from higher-income homes. Project Play
In 2024 the average U.S. “sports family” spent $1,016 on their child’s primary sport, a 46% increase since 2019 — reflecting rising registration fees, travel, equipment, camps, and other associated costs. Project Play
For many families, total cost per child can approach $1,500 per year — a sum that puts participation out of reach for many lower-income households. Project Play+1
Because of rising costs and privatization of youth sports, organized athletics have become increasingly unaffordable for some families — a documented barrier contributing to unequal access across socioeconomic groups. Education Week+1
As a consequence, children from lower-income families participate in organized sports at significantly lower rates: cost is a key factor that excludes many kids who otherwise want to play. Project Play+1
